Road America’s 4.048-mile, 14-turn circuit in Elkhart Lake, WI, hosts the 2024 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® in October. Before then, there’s the WeatherTech Chicago Region® June Sprints® – which is part of the Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour. This will be a chance for drivers to learn a track that’s recently been repaved, and it’s anticipated this three-day Hoosier Super Tour stop will be well attended. The summer of 1956 was the first full season of racing at Road America, and it included the Chicago Region June Sprints – that event was part of the SCCA National Sports Car Championship, a series that helped determine champions prior to the now-familiar Runoffs.
